This beautiful villa, evocative of another time when La Dolce Vita was the normal experience of life in Italy, is situated deep in the heart of Chianti Classico country.  It sits on top of its own hill overlooking acres of vineyards and olive groves.   The Villa has been very well maintained and is the centerpiece of a working vineyard that continues to ship its products internationally.  Shown above is the Villa's front entryway, with views extending out over the wide terrace to the surrounding Tuscan hills.

The very spacious living room and formal dining room comprise one entire side of the Villa, easily accommodating a full complement of guests in comfortably furnished seating areas.  The ground floor also contains a cozy study furnished with comfortable sofas, reading lamps and TV.

The villa's kitchen is dominated by a huge raised hearth fireplace which has seen countless meals prepared over its hot coals.  The kitchen is fully equipped, however, with a restaurant stove, oven, refrigerator, two dishwashers (this villa has a history as the site of wonderful parties), and a full complement of cooking and serving utensils.   Both photos below show the large marble-topped work table set up for a cozy supper by the fire, but the table is usually used as a work island.

Reached by a commanding two story open stairwell, the second floor of the villa contains five double bedrooms and three full baths.  One bedroom has its own ensuite bath, and the other four bedrooms share two large hall baths.

The rolling countryside (a bit of which is shown in the photo at the bottom right)  is the perfect setting for biking or hiking.  The villa is very near to San Gimignano, Siena, the charming Castellina in Chianti, and all of the small hill towns in the Chianti Classico zone.  Shown in the photo below to the left is the entrance to the Villa's own cantina where guests can enjoy private wine tastings.

One of the owners, a very good cook, is available to prepare special meals for guests....a remarkable experience considering that everything he prepares comes from the villa's own land (there are vegetable gardens and pens for raising chickens and rabbits located in other areas of the large estate).  Maid service and babysitting services can be arranged with prior notice.  

All utilities (except for heat which is metered and paid for as used) are included in the price of the villa.  Also included in the rental price is a full complement of linens for the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and pool. 

The villa is very conveniently situated in the heart of Chianti territory.  It is 4 kilometers to Castellina in Chianti, 15 km to San Gimignano, 25 km to Siena and 35 km to Florence.
