The kitchen is an absolute joy! It is fully equipped and roomy enough to accommodate a few assistants. The marble-topped work island and stone-walled preparation area are a cook's delight. On the way to the double doors which lead out to the breakfast patio, a beautiful copper collection covers one wall. A separate pantry/utility room is a treasure trove of baskets, entertaining props and kitchen utensils. The kitchen/pantry area of the house features a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven and washing machine.
The bedrooms, all on the second floor, are beautifully and comfortably furnished and very personally decorated. There are three double bedrooms and one single bedroom. All have wonderful views of the Lucca countryside.
There are two full bathrooms; one has a large tub and shower, double sinks, toilet and bidet and is located in the center of the hallway off which all bedrooms open. The second bath is located at the foot of the stairs that lead up to the bedroom wing and has a shower, double sinks and toilet.

There are wonderful sightseeing opportunities in this beautiful area of Tuscany. A medieval village, with its narrow stone-paved streets is very nearby, and has a little park, grocery store and bar. There are also wonderful walking paths and mountain biking trails. Lucca is about 4 miles distant, and Pisa is about 10 miles to the west; Florence is 37 miles southeast and the beautiful Tuscan shorefront and beaches are only 20 miles west. Included in the price is house cleaning and pool service twice a week. During most of the year, a caretaker stays on the property in a separate apartment opposite the pool area (with its own access). All utilities are included except for the cost of heat which is metered and billed as used.
