Close to the small hamlet of Santa Maria del Guidice, this rustic country house is set on a hillside in Tuscany between Lucca and Pisa. The setting is private and rural, yet it is only a 15 minute drive to either Lucca or the international airport of Pisa. Terraced gardens with lawns and flowering shrubs surround the house and beyond them there are olive groves and vineyards.
One of the main features of this property is its park-like setting and beautiful outdoor areas. The covered veranda with barbecue, pictured above to the right, is ideal for al fresco dining or relaxing in the shade. The little gazebo, pictured above to the left, is surrounded by lush shrubbery near the pool area.
The large swimming pool is set into a sunny terrace that looks down over the house and garden area. It is equipped with lounge chairs, dining tables and umbrellas.
The main house has been renovated but still retains its original beamed ceilings and antique cotto floor tiles which add to its cabin-like rustic atmosphere. The living room is comfortably furnished and is equipped with TV, video player, CD and tape player.
