Villa Controni
Eleven luxurious suites accommodating 22 with pool, A/C, chapel, staff

Front Entry
A true Renaissance villa with its own chapel, formal gardens, olive oil press and castle ruins, Villa Controni was completely restored in 2005.  The villa was built as the summer home of an important Lucca family who cultivated rare flowers on the estate.  It has now been transformed into a luxurious retreat where one can experience a very compelling Italian lifestyle in a private setting.

Formal Dining Room

Billiards Room
The ground floor consists of a large entry hall, spacious and comfortably furnished living room, very large dining room, study, billiards room, kitchen and service areas as well as two bathrooms.  The study is equipped with satellite TV, internet connection and a music system.  The dining room, pictured above left, is arranged to accommodate 22 guests in a formal setting.  The billiards room, pictured above right, is a favorite spot after dinner and it opens onto the dining room.

Twin Room

Double Room
From the arched entry hall, a large stairway brings you to the first floor which contains six bedroom suites, each with its own private bath.  A large central salon, comfortably furnished with sofas, armchairs and satellite TV, provides another private area for use by the guests on the this floor.

Master Suite

One of the villa's bathrooms
Reached by a beautiful stone staircase, the second floor features an additional five suites, one of which is the master suite with its own dressing room (pictured above to the left).  All rooms have their own ensuite bath and shower facilities and also feature expansive views over the Lucca countryside.

Swimming Pool

The outside areas of the Villa are quite wonderful.  There is a large floodlit swimming pool surrounded by lounge furniture and umbrellas.  There is also a barbeque area and one of the patio areas, pictured above right, lends itself perfectly to al fresco dining.
