This quintessential classic villa, dating from the 18th century, sits in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, just two kilometers from Strada in Chianti, twelve from Greve in Chianti and twenty from Florence itself (an easy drive, by the way, on paved back roads). It is nestled into a protected perch that overlooks the beautiful Tuscan landscape, including a nearby castle that is more than a thousand years old. One of the true charms of this Villa is that it has not been altered....large rooms have been left alone, allowing visitors the unique experience of living a traditional and somewhat noble villa life. From its inner courtyard full of flowering shrubs and plants to one of its many outside dining areas (pictured to the right just before a party), this villa offers a truly unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this ancient land in your own private setting. |

The master suite is dominated by an antique and intricately carved tester bed. It has two double windows that overlook the property and it has its own ensuite bathroom, pictured above to the right. |

The private study, just off the master suite, is a casual and very comfortable retreat featuring overstuffed leather furnishings, walls of bookshelves, a large flat-screen TV and a beautiful marble fireplace. The vertical photo shows the height as well as the well-preserved hand-painted tilework of the ceiling.....truly a most welcoming room. |

| The living room is very spacious and furnished with period antiques arranged in two seating areas. It features a white marble fireplace and is very light since there are four large double windows with wonderful views over the Chianti hillside. The formal dining room can accommodate 10 (the table is pictured without its extensions) and it, too, has a beautiful marble fireplace. An unusual feature of the dining room is a dumb waiter just to the right (out of photo range) which connects to the kitchen directly overhead. | |||

Adjacent to the formal dining room is the breakfast room, a cozy space with a small marble fireplace of its own. There is also dumb waiter access from this room to the kitchen upstairs through the little wooden door to the left of the large antique mirror. Just off this room is a small powder room. | ||
