artist's colony overlooking the sea, this utterly charming house is
nestled into the quiet little hilltop village of Montemarcello, not far
from Cinque Terre. For a writer, it's a perfect location in which
to escape all distractions and be able to spend a bit of time living and
working in a place of peace and tranquility. For an artist,
it's paradise, an incredibly picturesque and quaint village with
stunning landscapes and vignettes at every turn. |

The house is located in the center of the village and
has three floors as well as a rooftop terrace. The ground floor
contains a small living room with fireplace, a bathroom with shower and
a large kitchen that is fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator,
microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and a full complement of cooking
and serving utensils. Also on this floor is a single bedroom with
its own private access to the street. The kitchen door opens onto
a very sweet little patio with many plants and flowers, and a small yard
beyond with beautiful views of the sea. There is also a barbeque
area. |

| The first floor contains a working studio
with views onto the village church and clock tower, a double bedroom
with a queen size bed and a bathroom with shower. |

| The second floor, a very sunny space,
contains a very comfortably furnished large living room as well as a
master suite which includes a king size bed, fireplace, two windows with
views overlooking the sea, and a full bath with Jacuzzi tub. |

The entire house is decorated with original works of
art, from the hand-etched marble floors to the very interesting painting
strung on cables which is raised to reveal a mini sink and serving
area in the top floor living room. |
| While this village is totally off the beaten track,
the location of the house is very convenient....only 30 minutes to Pisa
Airport, the tuscan coast, the city of Lucca, the marble quarries and
the exceptional Cinque Terre. Within the village there are two
grocery stores and two restaurants, so artists need not go hungry here! |
